Having earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University, Russell has had around 25 years of public accounting audit and reimbursement experience.  Along the way he has seen the transition from the Medicare Prospective Payment (PPS) to the Critical Access Hospital (CAH) system first hand, assisting with 20 CAH transitions.  Russell has cost report and financial experience in several states, which has allowed him to understand the varied intricacies in each.  Medical accounting professionals know that both knowledge and a degree of patience are necessary for one to work effectively with new intermediaries in U.S. states.  Additionally, Russell also has spent time in the internal auditing department for Tenet Healthcare, the nation’s largest for-profit healthcare provider.
